Neker Bernuy, DDS, is a board-certified orthodontist serving patients at Bernuy Orthodontic Specialist, with offices in Austin and Georgetown, Texas.
Dr. Bernuy graduated Magna cum lade from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio with a distinction in research. Upon receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he was elected into the National Dental Honors Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon-OKU).
Dr. Bernuy was the only student in his class to be inducted into an International Dental Honor Organization, the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
He relocated to North Carolina to continue his training, completing a three-year residency in orthodontics and receiving his Masters of Science at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Bernuy has trained extensively in dentistry and orthodontics in South America and the United States. He continues to further his education to provide patients with the most recent technology and procedures available in orthodontics.
After earning top honors and several awards at different universities throughout Peru, Dr. Bernuy immigrated to the United States in 2003 to develop his career further. He lived in New York and Connecticut, where he performed clinical procedures at different orthodontic offices, learning and applying fundamental concepts from his extensive training and research.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family. Dr. Bernuy also enjoys playing recreational sports, including soccer and basketball.
